This course belongs to a three-part seminar, which explores the rapidly evolving landscape of generative artificial intelligence (AI) and some of its emerging implications for the future of work. We will delve into a selection of the challenges and opportunities presented by this disruptive technology, focusing on a theoretical, experimental, and human-centered approach. The seminar is structured around three core themes: Experimentation, Integration, and Adoption. We will examine research, best practices, and real-world case insights to understand how individuals and organizations can begin to more effectively navigate the changing nature of work in the Age of Intelligence. The course emphasizes a hands-on, applied approach, encouraging participants to connect course concepts to their own diverse professional contexts.

This topic is titled "Adoption and Generative AI: Research and Best Practices", and will explore a technology adoption model—specifically the UTAUT2 framework—to gain insight into how habit formation and behavioral cues influence the acceptance of generative AI. We will examine how these factors extend beyond individual skill mastery and impact collective practices and organizational culture.

By reviewing examples of successful AI adoption alongside instances where lack of uptake resulted in missed opportunities, participants will learn what it means to cultivate a genuinely human-centered approach to AI-driven work. Our discussion will emphasize how adopting generative AI can retain and enhance organizational talent, ensure positive workplace culture, and position teams to excel in an increasingly disruptive landscape.
