Micro-credentials demonstrate your knowledge, skills and abilities and create a more complete picture of your capabilities. You can earn a micro-credential through the completion of a course, workshop, internship, or other learning experience. Once it has been verified that you performed satisfactorily to earn the micro-credential, you will be issued a micro-credential digital badge.

Alyssa L. Provencio-Ciszewicz, Ph.D. is an Associate Professor of Political Science and the Director of Downtown Strategy and Community Partnerships for LX Studio at the University of Central Oklahoma. She is a scholar, practitioner, and strategist dedicated to building resilient communities through representation, community-driven solutions, and praxis. In her Director role, Dr. Provencio-Ciszewicz leads efforts to strengthen UCO’s downtown Oklahoma City presence through community engagement and program development. She facilitates initiatives that connect the university with businesses, nonprofit organizations, and civic leaders to foster collaboration and innovation in higher education and workforce development. She is a national media contributor on inclusive emergency management issues and serves on the Board of Trustees with Oklahoma Humanities. Dr. Provencio-Ciszewicz’s teaching and research focuses on under-resourced populations and citizen empowerment in emergency management, as well as faculty development and mentorship in higher education.
