This Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt two-day workshop is tailored for professionals across diverse industries, offering a solid introduction to Lean Six Sigma principles, tools, and techniques. The course equips participants with essential knowledge and practical skills to identify improvement opportunities, streamline processes, and support continuous improvement efforts within their organizations. Through hands-on application of the DMAIC framework, participants will develop confidence and capability to contribute meaningfully to Lean Six Sigma projects and advance organizational excellence.
Participants enrolling in the Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt training course do not need any prior experience with Lean Six Sigma methodology. This action-learning training is designed for professionals at all levels and across various industries, whether they are new to process improvement or have some familiarity with quality management concepts. No specific work experience or educational background is required; however, a basic understanding of organizational processes and an interest in problem-solving and continuous improvement will enhance the learning experience. The course provides a hands-on approach, equipping participants with practical tools and knowledge to effectively apply Lean Six Sigma principles in real-world scenarios.

Dr. Hossein Najmi, Assosciate Professor & Assistant Chair, Department of Information Systems and Operations Management, University of Central Oklahoma, College of Business

Dr. Najmi is a dynamic educator and industry professional who combines over 10 years of international commerce and banking experience with a strong academic background in operations and supply chain management. His career spans supply chain finance, global logistics, and international trade, giving him first-hand insight into the challenges organizations face in achieving operational efficiency and competitive advantage.

As an Associate Professor and Assistant Chair at the University of Central Oklahoma’s College of Business, Dr. Najmi has designed and led courses that integrate Lean and Six Sigma principles into real-world business applications. He is passionate about helping organizations reduce waste, streamline processes, and drive measurable improvements through data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement methodologies.

Dr. Najmi’s approach to training is hands-on and results-focused, bridging the gap between theory and practice. Participants in his sessions benefit from practical tools, case studies, and games that can be immediately applied in their organizations to improve quality, efficiency, and performance.

Micro-credentials demonstrate your knowledge, skills and abilities and create a more complete picture of your capabilities. You can earn a micro-credential through the completion of a course, workshop, internship, or other learning experience. Once it has been verified that you performed satisfactorily to earn the micro-credential, you will be issued a micro-credential digital badge.

Students who complete both days of the workshop and perform satisfactorily on all assessments are eligible to earn a digital badge representing the skills they gained during this learning experience.
