This course teaches leaders how to communicate effectively with their teams during organizational transitions using the ADAPT Model. The framework provides a structured sequence for change communication that builds trust and reduces resistance: Acknowledge emotions and validate concerns, Describe the vision and rationale, Address specific concerns directly, Participate by inviting involvement, and Track progress with visible accountability. Participants learn that effective change communication requires addressing emotional needs before logical explanations. By the end of the session, participants will be able to demonstrate communication techniques that address team concerns during organizational transitions using the ADAPT Model.

Micro-credentials demonstrate your knowledge, skills and abilities and create a more complete picture of your capabilities. You can earn a micro-credential through the completion of a course, workshop, internship, or other learning experience. Once it has been verified that you performed satisfactorily to earn the micro-credential, you will be issued a micro-credential digital badge.

The Leading Teams During Change and Uncertainty badge recognizes the earner’s proficiency in the essentials of managing and leading change in highly uncertain situations. People who have earned this badge have demonstrated foundational change management skills for team leadership. Through engaging, hands-on activities, earners have applied their skills to real-world scenarios, ultimately gaining the skills and knowledge to lead teams during times of change and uncertainty.

Our digital badges earned are issued via Credly. Visit UCO's Credly page to view more micro-credential opportunities and learn more about digital badging.
